Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari on her Sunday news presser said that around 1,610,869 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country to the date.

Iran PressIran News: The spokeswoman said on Sunday that 222,669 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus, and 183,310 of total infected patients have been recovered.

Sima Sadat Lari on the latest data on the coronavirus and the deaths caused by the virus said: "According to the laboratory findings and from yesterday to June 28 in the country, 2,489 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed and the number of patients with this disease reached 222,669."

She said that 1,046 of the new patients were hospitalized.

"Fortunately, 183,310 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals so far," Lari added.

The Spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 144 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 10,508 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

The official stated, "2,946 patients are in intensive care units right now."

"So far, around 1,610,869 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.

According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Khuzestan, Kurdistan, West Azerbaijan, Hormozgan, and Kermanshah are in red, and the provinces of Bushehr, Ilam, East Azerbaijan, and Khorasan Razavi are on the alert situation. 205
