Tehran (IP) -The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari today in her presser said, so far, 207,525 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus, and 166,427 of total infected people have recovered.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari on Monday 22 June reported the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by it.

The Iranian health official said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to June 22 in the country, 2,573 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 207,525."

She added that among those newly diagnosed with COVID-19,1319 were hospitalized.

Fortunately, 166,427 patients have recovered and discharged so far, Lari added.

The Spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 119 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, in overall 9,742 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

Lari stated that 2,842 patients are in intensive care units.

So far, around 1,449,420 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said. adding that 2,898 patients are in critical condition.

According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Khuzestan, Hormozgan, Kermanshah, and East Azerbaijan are on alert.
