Tehran (IP): Iran's Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian stressed on finalizing Iran-Afghanistan long-lasting Comprehensive Cooperation Document and implementation of various projects.

Iran PressIran News: Meeting the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan's Acting Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Ardakanian said that two technical and engineering services exhibitions will be held at Kabul and Herat next year.

Emphasizing to sign and finalize long-lasting Comprehensive Cooperation Document,  Ardakanian noted, "The sixth Iran-Afghanistan Joint Cooperation Commission is going to be held at Kabul."

The minister stated that under the sixth Iran-Afghanistan Joint Cooperation Commission framework, various projects on renewable and unrenewable energies, fossil fuels have been determined.

He also said that 20 power projects would be implemented in the near future.

Regarding water and environment fields, there are two common catchment basins to cooperate, noted Energy Minister.

Iran and Afghanistan are interested in signing the Harirroud catchment basin and the Hirmand river agreement.
