Iran Press/ Iran News: Nasser Kanaani said in his weekly press conference on Monday, September 11, that their military transferences and movements were a usual job at the threshold of winter when traffic gets difficult in some areas.
He made the remarks in response to a question about the recent movements of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia in the joint borders with Iran.
The Iranian spokesman said that Armenian officials expressed concern about the possibility of a new military conflict from Azerbaijan's side.
Iran is sensitive to the security of the common borders with its northwestern neighbors and monitors the developments of the region seriously, Kanaani stressed.
He referred to the recent movements on the borders of Azerbaijan and Armenia and added: We are in contact with the authorities of the two countries. Armenian officials expressed concern about the possibility of a new military conflict with Azerbaijan. But the authorities of Azerbaijan told us that they have no intention of a military attack and the recent transfers are a conventional military action on the eve of the winter season when it becomes difficult to travel in the winter areas, he stated.
Kanaani added: Iran is sensitive to the security of the common borders with its northern neighbors and follows developments seriously. We assure you that Iran's borders are safe and Iran supports border security with authority.
At the same time, considering the importance of developments in the Caucasus and the effects of any instability and tension in the region, we follow the issue with sensitivity and seriousness,he clarified.

In response to a question about the attack on the Iranian consulate in Paris, the spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry said: "We had previously warned the EU countries about the possibility of an attack on our diplomatic places in Europe."
Nasser Kanaani stated that the recent attack on the outer door of the embassy's consular section is strongly condemned. The attack on a diplomatic place is an attempt to disrupt the embassy's consular section process, and it violates the rights of citizens who visit the embassy to receive consular services.
He added: We protested in an official note to the French authorities. Before this attack, we warned the French and some European governments to strengthen the protective measures in the framework of the 1961 Vienna Convention and fulfill their responsibilities in providing security, considering the possibility that some people would abuse the situation and attack our diplomatic places again.
He stated: The French government is responsible for the security of Iran's embassy and diplomatic facilities within the framework of the 1961 Vienna Convention.
The French ambassador in Tehran, in a meeting with the director general of the European Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strongly condemned this incident and promised that this case is being pursued by his country so that both the attackers are identified and prosecuted.
Iran continues to pursue role of Europeans in equipping Saddam's regime with chemical weapons

Kananni: Iran Purchases non-sanctioned goods with freed assets
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "Iran can buy all non-sanctioned goods with the freed assets and we hope that the transfer will be completed in the coming days."
Speaking in his press conference on Monday, while referring to the report published by Reuters about sending Iranian-blocked money from South Korea to Qatar next week and the exchange of prisoners, Nasser Kanani clarified: Unblocking Iran's assets and exchanging prisoners are two separate issues.
He added: Regarding the exchange of prisoners, we announced that we are ready to exchange prisoners due to the human nature of the matter, and the issue could have happened a long time ago. We are optimistic that the exchange of prisoners will take place in the near future.
Kanaani said: Regarding the removal of the financial blockade and the collection of Iran's financial assets, it was also based on an understanding and the process of actions that we have seen so far, we hope that the transfer will be completed in the coming days and that Iran will have full access to its assets.
He clarified: that Iran can buy all non-sanctioned goods and use them fully with these unblocked assets and financial resources. This is based on understanding and has nothing to do with other issues under the title of food and medicine, and media statements have no value, he pointed out.
Iran says will pursue rights over Arash gas field through expert-level talks
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman on Monday said the country’s rights over the joint Arash gas field will be pursued through expert-level talks.
Nasser Kanaani, who made the remarks in his weekly press conference, said the dispute over the gas field, known as Al-Dorra in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, is a technical issue.
On Friday, the spokesman dismissed claims by the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council on the “joint ownership” by Kuwait and Saudi Arabia of the field.

Oil Minister Javad Owji earlier said Iran will pursue its rights to the Arash field if other parties show no willingness to cooperate.
On July 30, the minister told SHANA that Iran will pursue its rights and interests, including the exploitation and exploration of the Arash field, and will not tolerate any breach of its rights.
He said, “The Islamic Republic all the time supports friendly settlement of border and maritime issues with neighboring states.
“Regarding the exploitation of shared oil and gas fields, we have always sought to hold negotiations and reach an understanding with neighbors, and Iran also seeks the integrated and joint exploitation of the Arash field.”
He, however, reiterated, “If there is no willingness [on behalf of other sides] to reach an understanding and cooperate, Iran will safeguard its rights and interests, will put the exploitation and exploration of the aforementioned resources on the agenda, and will not tolerate any violation of its rights.”
The Arash gas field is located at the common maritime border of Iran and Kuwait and is shared by Iran, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.
