Iran Press/ Middle East: Iran's Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Amir Lajevardi, and the Chairman of the Iraqi Supreme Board of Communication, Ali al-Muayyed, signed the agreement on Wednesday in Baghdad.
The agreement addresses the problem of roaming calls of Iranian pilgrims in Iraq and says its cost should be reduced.
The facilitation of the pilgrims' use of the Internet during the Arbaeen March from the Iranian borders to Karbala, Iraq, is among other issues the Iran-Iraq agreement addresses.
Arbaeen is a Shia religious observance that occurs forty days after the Day of Ashura. It commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS), the third Imam of the Shia and the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) , who was martyred on the 10th day of the month of Muharram.
