President Rouhani urges expansion of economic cooperation with Kyrgyzstan

Tehran (IP) - Emphasizing the development of cooperation between Iran and Kyrgyzstan, the President said: "We should not wait for the end of the corona for economic cooperation and we can increase trade and economic cooperation within the framework of health protocols."

Iran Press/Iran news: President Hassan Rouhani in a telephone conversation with Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov on Tuesday, referring to Iran's success in fighting the coronavirus and the production of equipment needed by knowledge-based companies in this way, President Rouhani noted, "Undoubtedly, in order to protect our people against this virus, all countries must help each other".

Stressing on the development of economic and trade relations with Kyrgyzstan, the President stated: "Today, the Eurasian Economic Union has created a very good ground for the development of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, in which we can develop and deepen cooperation."

Rouhani went on to say that despite US restrictions and pressure on Iran, fortunately, we have had good success in fighting the virus and have also been able to help some of our friendly countries, including Kyrgyzstan, fight the disease.

"Kyrgyzstan will always be a friend and brother to Iran," Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said in a telephone interview, stressing the development and deepening ties with Iran in all areas.
