Damascus (IP) - Syrian Minister of Justice discussed cooperation in legal and judicial work during a meeting with his Iranian counterpart on Wednesday.

Iran Press/Middle East: The two ministers discussed the formation of a joint legal committee to defend common issues before international forums and condemn the crimes committed.

According to Sana, the Syrian official Ahmed al-Sayyed emphasized the importance of promoting the exchange of experience in judicial work, organizing workshops, and hosting international conferences.

He also called for the implementation of international law as a legal deterrent against Israeli aggressions in Syria, stating that legislation should not be influenced by the opinions of certain Western countries.

The Iranian Minister of Justice Amin Hossein-Rahimi highlighted the role of Syrian and Iranian ministries of justice in confronting American and Zionist domination.

He referred to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's recent visit to Syria and his meeting with President Bashar al-Assad as a significant turning point in Syrian-Iranian ties, particularly after achieving security in Syria and plans for reconstruction.

Rahimi also announced that he will consult with the president in Tehran about the issues he discussed in Damascus, especially in the judicial field.

He also announced the formation of a joint legal committee that Tehran and Syria will use to receive damages from arrogant governments for their terrorist and aggressive acts.
