Former secretary-general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement Ramadan Abdullah Shallah

The body of the former secretary-general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement Ramadan Abdullah Shallah will be buried in Syria's Yarmouk camp.

Iran Press/Middle East: The body of the late Ramadan Abdullah Shallah has been taken to Damascus to be buried in Yarmouk, a Palestinian refugee camp in Syria.

He will be buried next to the grave of Martyr Fathi Shaqaqi, the co-founder and Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine.

Ramadan Abdullah Shalah died last night at the age of 62 after a long illness.

Being a professor of economics at the University of Gaza, he was one of the founders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement.

Shalah was the secretary-general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad between 27 October 1995 and 2018.
