Iran Press/ Europe: According to Iran Press, Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, arrived at the Vnukovo international airport on Monday afternoon and was welcomed by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Moscow, Kazem Jalali and the Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia, Andrey Malyshev.
Iranian Esmaeili is about to meet with his Russian counterpart and participate in the programs of Iran's cultural week in Russia.
Iranian Culture Week will be opened on Tuesday with the participation of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.
Moscow and St. Petersburg will host the program after a four-year break due to the COVID pandemic.
On the sidelines of Iran's cultural week in Russia, Iranian Minister Esmaeili will discuss the boosting cultural ties between Iran and Russia with his Russian counterpart.
Iran's cultural week in Russia includes an exhibition of Iran's fine arts and handicrafts in the VDNKH complex, located in the Ostankinsky District of Moscow, traditional music with the presence of 19 Iranian and 16 Russian musicians, two joint performances in the form of Iran's National Orchestra and the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra (RNYSO) using Iranian instruments in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Screening Iranian films and animations will be another part of the cultural week.
'Villa Dwellers,' 'Lopeto' (animation), 'Hanas,' 'Romanticism of Emad and Tooba,' and 'Sara and Aida' will be screened in Moscow's Illusion Hall with their directors and producers.
Iran's last Russian cultural week was hosted by Tehran and Qazvin from 9 to 14 November 2019.
Iranian Minister Esmaeili will be accompanied by Bijan Nobaveh, First Vice Chairman of the Cultural Commission of the Islamic Council, Mahmoud Eslami, Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance for Development, Plans, and Programs, Farshad Mehdipour, Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance for Press and Information, Hosein Divsalar, Special Advisor to the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
