Brigadier-General Goudarzi appointed as Commander of Iranian Border Guards

Tehran (IP) - With the consent of the Commander-in-Chief of Iranian Armed Forces, Brigadier-General Ahmad Ali Goudarzi was appointed as the Commander of Iran's Border Guards.

Iran Press/Iran News: At the suggestion of Iran's Commander of Police Force Brigadier-General Hossein Ashtari, and with the consent of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Brigadier-General Ahmad Ali Goudarzi was appointed as Commander of the Border Guards.

Formerly, Brigadier-General Qasem Rezaei was the Commander of Iran's Border Guards.

General Rezaei was appointed as Deputy Commander of the Police Force on May 6, 2020, at the suggestion of the Police Commander and with the approval of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
