Tehran (IP) - Head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health announced that so far, 160,696 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus, and 125,206 of total infected people have recovered.

Iran Press/Iran News: Kianoush Jahanpour on Wednesday, June 3 about the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to June 3rd in the country, 3,134 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed and the number of patients with this disease reached 160,696."

493 of new patients were hospitalized and 2,641 were outpatients, said the official.

Fortunately, 125,206 patients have recovered and have been discharged so far, Jahanpour added.

The Spokesman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 70 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 8,012 people have lost their lives in total."

He stated: "2,565 patients are in a critical condition."

So far, around 1 million COVID-19 diagnostic tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry Spokesman said.

The number of people with coronavirus in the world has reached 6,470,000 of which at least 383,000 people have succumbed to death and more than 3,083,000 people have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
