Iraqi new Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi in a meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Baghdad Iraj Masjedi, stressed on his country’s eagerness to expand relations with Iran and other neighbors.

Iran Press/Middle East: Al-Kazemi told the Iranian ambassador that his country would not be used for settling accounts nor as a springboard to attack any neighboring or friendly country.

Mustafa al-Kazemi officially took office as Iraq's prime minister on Thursday, May 7, with a majority vote in the Iraqi parliament.

The Iraqi new Prime Minister is assigned to prepare the grounds for the early parliamentary election, managing Iraq amid health and economic challenges due to the Coronavirus and global drop of oil price, and submitting the 2020 budget plan to the parliament, within one year. 101/207
