Iraq parliament to convene tomorrow for vote of confidence on new government

The Iraqi parliament will convene on Wednesday for a vote of confidence on the new government.

Iran PressMiddle East: Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohamed al-Halbousi announced a parliament session for a vote of confidence regarding the new government's cabinet, which will be held on Wednesday.

Earlier, for a vote of confidence to the new government, Al-Halbousi called for the quick return of MPs from different provinces to Baghdad.

Having a week to get a vote of confidence from the Iraqi parliament, last Thursday Mustafa al-Kazemi presented his government's program to parliament and parliamentary fractions.

On April 9, the Iraqi president appointed Mustafa al-Kazemi as the new prime minister-designate to form the new government after Adnan al-Zurfi's resignation.
