Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi stated that political settlement in Afghanistan is close and the Islamic Republic of Iran is alongside Afghan's nation and government.

Iran Press/Iran News: Mousavi in an exclusive interview with Iran Press said that several negotiations have been done by Foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif with Afghan officials.

Iran's representative in Afghanistan Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian also has paid a visit to the country and examined all aspects of the issue and talked to all effective people in Afghanistan during his trip and invited all of them to national reconciliation and inclusive government.

"Afghanistan is considered important for Iran to be a secure and stable neighbor," he highlighted.

"We express hope that in near future Islamic Republic of Iran's efforts will yield result and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan will experience political stability and then reach peace in the country by the attendance of all Afghan groups and continue their internal negotiations," the official added.
