Second group of Iranian residents repatriated from Azerbaijan Republic

Tehran (IP) - More than 100 students and Iranians living in Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in the second stage repatriated to Iran on Sunday due to special quarantine conditions in the country.

Iran PressIran News: With the consultations of Iran and Azerbaijan Republic’s officials, the Iranian students and residents were transferred to Iran through ground borders of Astara, northwest of Iran, in order to prevent the outspread of the coronavirus. 

142 Iranian students from the universities of the Republic of Azerbaijan were transferred to Iran through the Astara ground border April 18 in the first stage. 

The borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan have been closed since March 1, 2020, in order to counter the outbreak of the coronavirus.
