Tehran (IP) - Deputy of the Army Ground Forces referred to the importance of the 'Pious Help' maneuver, saying that the maneuver aims at expressing sympathy with the Iranian people amid coronavirus outbreak.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Wednesday on the sidelines of "'Pious Help' maneuver in Tehran, Brigadier General Nozar Nemati referred to the importance of the maneuver, saying that it is a response to a call by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to express sympathy with people in Iran.

He added: "We are distributing the prepared packs which contain groceries among those who need."

"We want to declare that the Army is and will always be with people in all crises in our country. We plan to repeat this maneuver once or twice again in Ramadan," the Deputy of the Army Ground Forces said.

The "'Pious Help' maneuver was held in Tehran and 7 other provinces on Wednesday with the attendance of deputy commander of the Army’s Ground Forces for Coordination Ali Jahanshahi, and deputy commander of the Army’s Ground Forces Nozar Nemati.
