Iran\'s UN Spox: US new sanctions; another proof of inhuman policy

The spokesman for Iran's permanent Mission to the United Nations Alireza Miryousefi called the new US sanctions against Iran as another instance of the inhuman policy, led by US Secretary of Hate, Mike Pompeo.

Iran Press/America: The Spokesman for Iran's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York wrote on its Twitter account on Thursday that new US Treasury sanctions were implemented while Iranians were fighting with COVID-19 and at a time when an increasing number of heads of state and NGOs called for an end to US economic terrorism against Iran.

US Treasury on Thursday (March 26th) imposed new sanctions on five individuals and five entities linked to Iran, claiming the move is aimed at countering terrorism.

In recent weeks, following the spread of the Coronavirus in countries around the world as well as Iran, international organizations and a number of authorities in various countries including Turkey, Russia, Pakistan, and China have called for the lifting of the US unilateral and illegal sanctions against Iran.

However, US President Donald Trump's administration has opposed lifting sanctions on Iran.
