Saudi king, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

A senior source believes that recent arrests in Saudi Arabia were made in the wake of King Salman's health suffering from advanced Alzheimer's disease.

Iran PressMiddle East: The source said on Saturday in an interview with Quds Al-Arabi daily that Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman by crossing the red line of his royal family, ordered to arrest his uncle Ahmed bin Abdulaziz and former Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Nayef, who is also a descendant of the founder of the Saudi government as moderate officials in the country's politics, and these arrests may be related to the deterioration of King Salman Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud health condition.

The source said that the Saudi princes' phones have been blocked for the past 2 days and their contacts with abroad have been cut off, indicating that preventive events have taken place.

The source said that the Saudi Crown Prince violated the traditions of the House of Saud by arresting his uncle, adding that it was not about an ordinary prince but about the son of Abdul Aziz, the founder of the Saudi government.

Ahmed bin Abdulaziz and Mohammed bin Nayef were detained by Saudi security forces after a month in the desert area of ??southwestern Saudi Arabia and on their return to Riyadh.

He stated recent arrests in Saudi Arabia have included Bin Nayef the former crown prince and other princes and even the wives and children of princes who had been in house arrest.

The source added that recent arrests have been made following the princes' conspiracy against the current crown prince, while Bin Nayef lives in complete isolation in a remote area of ??the capital or Jeddah and Mecca and is not even allowed to use cell phones or the internet.

He noted that the arrests were made in the wake of King Salman's health suffering from advanced Alzheimer's disease, noting that Bin Salman was unable to control many of the political and security issues in Saudi Arabia, so anyone who doubts about his ability, he will deal with him in this way.
