Iran Presidential Chief of Staff, Mahmoud Vaezi

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Presidential Chief of Staff, in separate telephone conversations with the deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkey's Minister of Trade exchanged views on strengthening joint business cooperation and removing obstacles to such cooperation due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

Iran PressIran news: Mahmoud Vaezi and ?ahin Mustafayev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, held a telephone conversation on Friday to accelerate the resolution of problems caused by the outbreak of COVID-19, the deadly disease caused by the novel Coronavirus, in the transit of goods and services between the two countries. 

The two officials emphasized the importance of facilitating the process of joint commercial and transit cooperation in the next two days, based on the Iran-Azerbaijan Protocol on Health.

?ahin Mustafayev announced the Azerbaijani President's order to allocate $ 5 million worth of goods needed to combat COVID-19 disease in Iran.

Iran's Presidential Chief of Staff also held talks with the Turkish Minister of Trade Ruhsar Pekcan over the problems of Turkish trucks stuck at the Turkmenistan-Iran border, as well as the movement of Iranian trucks at the Turkish-Bulgarian border to load perishable goods at the Mersin Port.

The talks were set to resolve the problems of truckloads of perishable goods soon and to continue the transit process between Iran and Turkey in the framework of the two countries' health protocols.

The coronavirus, which has spread to more than 90 countries, was first detected late last year in Wuhan and surrounding Hubei province of China. 207
