Pakistan strongly endorses Iranstance on Muslim killing in India

Islamabad (IP) - Pakistani foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi expressed Islamabad's full and strong support for Iran's position on the killing of Muslims in India.

Iran PressAsia: Shah Mahmood Qureshi declared his country's stance in a Twitter post.

"Fully share the concerns expressed by my brother Mohammad Javad Zarif on the safety and well-being of Indian Muslims facing naked violence from RSS mobs. India is in throes of grave communal violence. Their systematic killing of Muslims is inhuman & dangerous for the whole region" he wrote.

Earlier Iran's foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif had condemned Killing of Indian Muslims by Indian far-rights.

"Iran condemns the wave of organized violence against Indian Muslims," Zarif tweeted.

"For centuries, Iran has been a friend of India. We urge Indian authorities to ensure the wellbeing of ALL Indians & not let senseless thuggery prevail", Iran's foreign minister added.

"Path forward lies in peaceful dialogue and rule of law", Zarif highlighted.

Recent violence erupted in the Indian capital, leading to a three-day-long rampage, with Hindu mobs attacking Muslim homes, shops and mosques.

Police in Delhi have been accused of looking the other way as Hindu mobs attacked Muslim homes while in many cases they were found to be complicit in the assaults.
