Russia's Foreign Ministry said the commitment of the remaining parties of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) toward it, is the main precondition under which the international deal would be preserved.

Iran Press/Europe: The Russian Foreign Ministry announced in a statement released on Thursday, the main precondition for preserving the JCPOA is the fundamental honoring of all remaining states to enforce the deal and focus on seeking effective solutions to prevent escalating tensions and ensuring the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution No. 2231.

The statement also addressed the participation of the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Senior Nuclear Negotiator Sergei Ryabkov in the joint commission meeting of the JCPOA, saying  the meeting focuesd the preconditions of implementation of the JCPOA and the return of its implementation process to the normal course.

The 15th round of  the JCPOA Joint commission meeting  was held on Wednesday, February 26 in Vienna, Austria with the Deputy Ministers and Political Directors of Iran and the P4 + 1 and the EU representative in attendance.

Following a year of the US and European parties' failure to fulfill their commitments toward the JCPOA, Iran began to gradually scale back its commitments to the deal Since May 2019.

Iranian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the JCPOA Joint Commission Meeting said on Wednesday after the end of the meeting that Iran's total return to the deal's terms is not possible unless its expectation is  fulfilled in the economic arena.
