Tehran (IP) - South African ambassador to Tehran said that the number of patent registration in Iran has surprisingly advanced.

Iran PressIran news: On the sidelines of the Conference on Iran Innovation Ecosystem and the role of Iran National Innovative Fund (INIF), South African ambassador to Iran VM Khumalo in an exclusive interview with Iran Press said: "I am pleasantly surprised by the number of such companies (knowledge-based companies) in Iran and I am also pleasantly surprised that Iran has advanced so much in the number of the patent registrations, jumping from a low position to a high one which clearly indicates that there is a lot of innovation going on in this country and a lot of patents are being registered." 

"We see very great opportunities between our two countries in working towards achieving a number of goals or in making sure that we collaborate from time to time in these issues to develop both our all knowledge-based economies in conjunction with Iranian institutions,"  the South African ambassador stated.

Conference on Iran Innovation Ecosystem and the role of Iran National Innovative Fund (INIF) was held on Tuesday 18  February in INIF hall in Tehran with attendance of ambassadors of different countries among them are Sweden, Malaysia, and South Africa.
