Iran Press/ Iran news: Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote in his twitter account on Friday: "Substantive, friendly and frank summit between President Hassan Rouhani and Prime Minister Abe Shinzo.
He added that the two sides stressed further strengthening bilateral, regional and global cooperation.
Zarif also thanked the Japanese hosts for celebrating the winter solstice with the Iranian delegation.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani traveled to Tokyo at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo to meet with officials in Japan.
