Syria welcomes withdrawal of armed groups to depth of 30 km in northern Syria

Syria has welcomed the withdrawal of armed groups from the northern part of the country to a depth of 30 km through direct coordination with the Syrian Arab Army, affirming the step ends the main pretext for Turkish military incursion into the north of the country.

Iran PressMiddle East: "The Syrian Arab Republic has welcomed the withdrawal of armed groups in northern Syria to a depth of 30 km through direct coordination with the Syrian Arab Army," an official source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said on Sunday.

According to SANA news agency, the source said Syria welcomes the withdrawal of armed groups, but at the same time the security, safety, and rights of diverse ethnic groups in the country must be guaranteed. The source also reiterated that Syria belongs to all the Syrian people.

The source affirmed that Syria embraces all its citizens, provides aid for them, guarantees their integration into Syrian society, and would open the door for all to return to Syrian national unity.
