Turkish President held a meeting with the US Vice President Mike Pence at the Presidential Complex in the capital Ankara.

Iran pressAsia: Turkish President Recep Tayyip  Erdogan on Thursday received US Vice President Mike Pence at the Presidential Complex in the capital Ankara, reported Anadolu Agency.

The two are expected to discuss Turkey’s ongoing operation in northern Syria. Pence arrived in Ankara earlier today leading a delegation including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

 Turkey launched the new military operation so-called "Operation Peace Spring" in northeastern Syria on October 9.

Ankara says it aims to establish a security zone near its border, fight terrorists and return Syrian refugees to their homes.
