CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Behzad Mohammadi visiting Hegmataneh Petrochemical Complex

The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) said that Hegmataneh Petrochemical Complex, a producer of medical-grade PVC, would start working in spring 2020.

Iran PressIran news: According to NPC, the CEO of the Company Behzad Mohammadi said on Tuesday on the sidelines of his visit to the complex that the medical-grade PVC production will be started as planned.

He said: "NPC has been supporting the construction of the project and its operation."

The state-run NPC supervises feedstock supply to the petrochemical industry of Iran.

Mohammadi said that the medical-grade PVC produced in the facility is of special importance to the country, adding: "With the support of the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum and the NPC, the financial facilities required for completing the project have been procured and its construction has been continuing according to the schedule.

"There are currently 56 petrochemical complexes operating in the country and we hope that the 57th one would be Hegmataneh Petrochemical Complex," he continued.

Earlier, Mohammadi stressed that Iran's oil and petrochemical industry is not sanctionable.
