Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press news agency on the sidelines of a military achievement exhibition 'Vulture-Hunting' on Sunday, military engineer Fakhraei mentioned Iran developed advancements in different areas, including missiles, defense, and drones.
He said that the expo showcases several drones taken as booty from enemies, at the forefront the US and Israeli regimes, who tend to intrude on Iran's borders.
The exposition is indicative of the high cost the enemies must pay in case of violating Iran's border integrity, he went on.
"Through the great efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Armed forces, specially Airspace forces in research, development, and production of different aerial defense systems, Iran has reached great deterrence power," the commander noted.
Vulture-Hunting expo, which was attended by airspace commanders and foreign military affiliates, kicked off on September 21 at the Sacred Defense Museum in Tehran and is underway until October 7, 2019.
The expo, for the first time, showcased to the public the remains of the US spy drone shot down by the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Air Force.
A US Global Hawk spy drone intruded into Iranian airspace on Thursday, June 20, and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps brought it down after the drone ignored Iran’s several warnings. IRGC says there was another intruding US manned plane beside the Global Hawk, but the IRGC ‘refrained’ from targeting it.
