The Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the General Director of Customs of Turkey emphasized the expansion of bilateral trade.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a meeting with R?za Tuna Turagay here in Tehran on Wednesday, Farhad Dejpasand refered to the two countries' agreement to increase the volume of trade to $ 30 billion, expressing hope that the bilateral trade efforts would increase the level of trade between Iran and Turkey.

Pointing to the historical and long-standing relations and cooperation between the two countries and the strong political will among the officials to develop bilateral relations, Dejpasand called for the expansion of comprehensive cooperation between Iran and Turkey.

He also said that Iran-Turkey customs cooperation should be strengthened.

The Turkish customs chief, in turn, emphasized Ankara's strong determination to continue trade cooperation with Tehran, calling for modernization of the two countries' trade routes and rapid updating of customs equipment at the Turkish-Iranian border in order to expand the level of cooperation as soon as possible.
