Iran President Hassan Rouhani

Iran's President Hassan Rouhani, in a message to his counterpart, congratulated the anniversary of Uzbekistan independence day and expressed hope that the Tehran-Tashkent relations would be further deepened.

Iran Press/Iran News:  Iran's President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday congratulated Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the anniversary of Uzbekistan's Independence Day.

According to the Official Website of President, Rouhani’s message is as follows:

"I would like to offer my sincerest congratulations to Your Excellency and the people of your country on the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

 " I hope that good relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Uzbekistan,  which is rooted in common civilization and cultural grounds, further deepen and develop in all political, economic and cultural fields".

Uzbekistan declared its independence from the Soviet Union on September 1, 1991.
