Zarif condoles the death of the Tunisian president

The Iranian Foreign Minister, in a message to the Tunisian counterpart, offered his condolences for the loss of Tunisia’ President, Beji Caid Essebsi.

Iran Press/Africa: The Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is in Senegal as a part of his trip to Africa, sent a message on Thursday to the Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui, expressing sympathy to the Tunisian nation and government and emphasizing that Iran will stand beside them.

One of the world's oldest leaders, Beji Caid Essebsi, who was Tunisia's first democratically elected president, died at the age of 92 at the Tunis military hospital on Thursday morning, Iran Press reported.
