Palestinians in Gaza fire rockets at Israel in retaliation for Israeli airstrikes

In response to recent Israeli aggression, Palestinian resistance in Gaza have launched over a hundred rockets at the Zionist regime.

Iran Press/Middle East: In response to an Israeli airstrike on Saturday morning on farmland in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza strip which resulted in the martyrdom of at least three Palestinians, resistance groups in Gaza fired dozens of rockets into Israel, as hostilities flared across the border for a second day.

The Israeli military also targeted eastern Khan Younis in the Gaza strip.

According to Israel's army, sirens warning of incoming projectiles sounded several times in southern Israel. Israeli media reported that several rockets were fired at Zionist settlements in the Gaza strip on Saturday morning, and Israel's anti-missile defense system, known as 'the Iron Dome' was attacked by incoming missiles at least twice on Saturday.

On Friday Israeli helicopters bombarded central Gaza strip, martyring four Palestinians and injuring three others.

Meanwhile, a joint statement by several resistance groups in Gaza warned that Palestinian resistance is ready to respond to any Israeli crime and aggression, following Friday's martyrdom of four Palestinians.

In other news, the Prime Minister of the Israeli regime, Benjamin Netanyahu, chaired a security chiefs meeting on Saturday to discuss the rapidly escalating tensions in the Palestinian lands.

Also, Hamas spokesman Abdel-Latif al-Qanoua said in a statement on Saturday: "The resistance will continue to respond to the crimes by the occupation and it will not allow it to shed the blood of our people."

Gaza's Health Ministry said at least 3 Palestinians, including a 22-year-old Palestinian man, were martyred on Saturday in Israeli airstrikes and tank shelling.

The Palestinian Education Ministry said it was evacuating schools in areas under Israeli bombardment.

Gaza health officials said two other Palestinians shot by Israeli troops on Friday while taking part in weekly protests along the border fence died of their injuries.  104/212/211
