Brazilian Senate approves resolution to shore up relations with Iran

At a session in the Brazilian Senate on Tuesday, a resolution was adopted by a consensus of senators, announcing the establishment of a parliamentary friendship group to shore up relations with Iran.

Iran Press/America:  The resolution, which is being debated in the Brazilian Senate for the first time, refers to the 118-year old history of Brazil-Iran relations and highlights the Brazilian Congress's role in promoting Iran-Brazil ties.

Earlier, a friendship group between Brazil and Iran was established in the House of Representatives. Thus two strong parliamentary groups are activated in both houses to pursue relations with Iran.
