Yemeni Ansarullah leader said that before the revolution, the country's affairs were in the hands of the US ambassador and that foreign mandatory had led the country to the complete collapse.

Iran PressMiddle East: "The ruling group of our country before the revolution made Yemen subject to the resolutions of the seventh chapter of the Security Council,"  Abdul Malik al-Houthi said in a speech marking the seventh anniversary of the Yemeni revolution.

"Before the revolution, political groups surrendered to the US embassy's mandate," he said, noting that the then US ambassador ruled Yemen and that Washington was acting in place of the Yemeni president.

"Before the revolution, there were explosions, assassinations, and takfiri elements," al-Houthi said, adding: "At that time, the enemies did the best of their abilities to weaken Yemen and bring it to the brink of collapse, and then to occupy it."

"Before the revolution, Yemen was moving towards collapse and disintegration in terms of political, economic and security situation," the Ansarullah leader added.

Referring to the role of the revolution in preventing the increase of US bases in Yemen under the pretext of fighting al-Qaeda, al-Houthi said that targeting Yemen is in the interest of the United States, the Zionist regime, and Britain.

UAE, Saudi Arabia are cows being milked by the US, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE are just the US puppets and milky cows," he said, noting that the Zionist regime is the US sole representative in the region.

"Our position against Israel and American hegemony is clear-cut. Yemen considers Israel as its main enemy, and this is not a secret and all the enemies well aware about," the Ansarullah leader said.
