The Pakistani Prime Minister has said the US military is doomed to failure in Afghanistan.

Iran Press/Asia: "Pakistan has had 70,000 casualties in the war on terror, but the United States has blamed Islamabad for the failure of the war in Afghanistan," Imran Khan said on Friday.

The Pakistani Prime Minister added that his country had previously supported the US military presence in Afghanistan, but said the Americans had not been successful in achieving their goals.

Imran Khan had previously condemned the US military presence in Afghanistan, calling it a "foreign occupation."

The United States and its allies invaded Afghanistan in 2001 under the pretext of fighting terrorism and maintaining security, but since then, insecurity, terrorism, and drug production have grown significantly in Afghanistan.

The Afghan people and officials are calling for the withdrawal of foreign troops from the country under US command.
