Syrian authorities discovered large amounts of arms, including US-made weapons left by terrorist groups in the southern parts of the country.

Iran Press/Middle East: The ammo included US-made TOW missiles, a surveillance drone, and assorted machineguns and rifles which were used by terrorist groups such as ISIS.

Combing villages during a cleanup operation in the south of Syria, the Syrian authorities came to a warehouse used by the terrorists, containing over 200,000 rifle rounds, SANA reported.

Besides the US-made TOW missiles and their tripods, and a Phantom 4 surveillance drone, there was also other equipment including anti-air machineguns, assorted assault rifles, RPG rounds, mortar launchers and rounds, tank shells, anti-armor shells, hand grenades, and infrared night-vision goggles.

This is not the first time the Syrian army finds warehouses and depots of foreign-made arms including weapons made by the US and the Israeli regime in different parts of Syria.

On 23 April 2019, Syrian government forces discovered Israeli and US-made weapons and munitions in the southern province of Quneitra which was formerly controlled by militants and terrorists. 104/211/215
