Corbyn to stop a no-deal Brexit

The British opposition leader said that he will do everything he can to stop a no-deal Brexit while describing it as 'a Trump-deal Brexit.'

Iran Press/Europe: The UK’s Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn wrote in a tweet on Tuesday that a no-deal Brexit is really a 'Trump-deal Brexit', adding, “It will put us at the mercy of the big US corporations desperate to get their teeth into our NHS, sound the death knell for our steel industry and strip back our food standards and animal welfare protections.”

According to British media,Corbyn also said in another tweet that he will do everything he can to stop a no-deal bankers’ Brexit, trying to unite entire British opposition against Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Brexit.

In one of the last concerted attempts at stopping a hard Brexit, the Labour party leader suggested a meeting at his office on August 27 with other opposition party leaders to formulate a common approach against Johnson.

Earlier on August 21, he wrote in a letter to the opposition leaders that the country is heading into a “constitutional and political storm.”

According to multiple media reports, the Scottish National Party (SNP), Plaid Cymru the Liberal Democrats, Change UK and the Green party, have accepted Corbyn’s invitation.
