National Guard forces deployed around the White House

Following the widespread protests in Washington, National Guard forces are widely deployed around the White House.

Iran PressAmerica: The US security forces on Monday used tear gas to disperse the demonstrators in front of the White House.

The protestors in Washington demanded US President Donald Trump step down.

A White House spokesman Kayleigh McEnany said on Monday that the US defense department has deployed 17000 forces in 24 states.

"Only in two states, more than 1000 National Guard forces have been deployed.

The protests through the US began following a Minnesota man named George Floyd who died after a police officer arresting him, pressed his knee onto his neck. Floyd died by homicide, according to the results of two autopsies released on Monday one by the county medical examiner and the other by independent pathologists commissioned by Floyd's family. 207
