Kabul (IP) - A special ceremony was held in Kabul to commemorate the fourth martyrdom anniversary of Major General Qassem Soleimani which coincided with the auspicious birthday of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH).

Iran PressAsia: According to the Iran Press news agency from Kabul, this event, titled "Scientific and Cultural Conference of Resisting Oppression and Islamic Unity" with the presence of cultural, scientific, academic, and seminary activists, Shia, Ulema Council Islamic Brotherhood Council and School Management Council were held at Al-Mustafa University, the great personality of the Islamic lady Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH) and the unique characteristics of martyr Qassem Soleimani were discussed and hailed.

Maulvi "Abdul Hadi Hedayat", one of the Sunni scholars and university professor, also stated in this ceremony that Defending the Palestinian nation is necessary for all the Muslims of the world, adding: "The only country that did not remain silent on the issue of Palestine and fully supported the struggle of the Palestinian people is the Islamic Republic of Iran."

He added: "Defending the land of Palestine and Al-Quds was one of the great goals of martyr Qassem Soleimani, who undoubtedly was a student of the school of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution."

Najarian, the deputy ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Afghanistan, in his speech emphasizing the need to follow the guidance of Hazrat Fatima Zahra, said: "Martyr Qassem Soleimani was a sincere commander who considered God Almighty in all his decisions and worked hard for the future generations of Islamic countries and the region and put pure Muhammadan Islam at the top of his agenda."

He further stated that Qassem Soleimani, with his struggle and courage, especially in the front of the fight against the takfiri elements of Daesh, did a great service to the countries of the region and humanity, and gave confidence to the resistance fronts in the Islamic countries.

Najarian then said: "Qassem Soleimani strengthened the fronts of the Islamic world and his role in the fight against terrorism is visible, and today his thoughts have become a symbol of the fight against arrogance."

Thabit, the head of Al-Mustafa University in Kabul, also stated in this ceremony that Hazrat Fatima Zahra was the epitome of oppression and at the same time taught Muslims the lesson of struggle and jihad combined with patience and resistance.

He added: "Patience and endurance are one of the characteristics of Qassem Soleimani was unique and he had set the preservation and development of Islamic values as his priority and he always sought to embrace martyrdom."

He noted: "Major Soleimani fought against global arrogance and Zionism by consolidating the unity of Muslims, both Shia and Sunni, and raised resistance in Islamic lands."

Pointing to the unparalleled resistance of the Palestinian fighting nation, Thabit said: "Palestine has never been in a strong position as it is today, and it has never had the full support of the Islamic world.
