Tehran (IP) - The participants in the 38th International Islamic Unity Conference gathered on Friday morning and exchanged opinions.

Iran PressIran news: The Chairman of the Assembly of Scholars of the Mohammadi Association from Iraq, Abdul Qadir Alousi, speaking in the seminar said: "The purpose of this conference is to examine all the issues that are happening in the Islamic world. We can use this experience to open the dialogue in the Hajj season.

Alousi added: "I want this conference to provide an opportunity for the preachers of Islamic unity to discuss among Muslims so that we can witness the unity of the Islamic Ummah even more."

Alousi also said that efforts should be made to maintain relations with Islamic personalities in the direction of Islamic unity.

He said: "We declare our support for Palestine and Gaza and we say that we are with the people of Lebanon and Yemen."

In another part of this meetingو Mohammad Al-Asi from America and a member of the Supreme Council of the World Assembly of Religious Rapprochement said: "In this challenging situation of the Muslim nation, with God's help, we can open new pages of history."

Al-Asi emphasized: "What is happening in Palestine speaks to us. There are powerful people in this land, our duty dictates to support the oppressed and according to the verse of the Quran, we are asked."
