A representative of Sari town in the Iranian parliament , the Majlis, has said: "The recent remarks by U.S. Secretary of State on Iran are not a new subject".

In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, referring to the fact that these statements had already been made privately on many occasions, Yousef Nejad said the only difference now is that these statements have been made public, and they don't surprise us.

He described the current situation as an opportunity for the Iranian people to show their unity and solidarity, and he said, they will certainly do this in world Quds day rallies and marches (on the last Friday of the blessed month of Ramadhan), giving an appropriate and solid response to the comments made by U.S. Secretary of State.

Yousef Nejad also said, in such cases, the Iranian nation expects the government to take into account national interests, and what is best for the country.

Referring to the fact that the Iranian people have shown their unity and solidarity to the world in recent years, he said, there is now a new opportunity to re-establish national solidarity.

He also said,  in order to maintain the national interests of the country ,officials of the Islamic Republic, should take step based on national determination and solidarity, as well as a resistance economy.

Yousef Nejad added:  "It is now the duty of Iranian authorities to negotiate with the Europeans, to obtain the "necessary guarantees from the Europeans",  and to resolve political challenges that lie ahead."
