Raisi:

Tehran (IP)- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has declared that Operation True Promise, a retaliatory strike against the Zionist regime, has demonstrated Iran's ability to deter military aggression and reshape the regional balance of power.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking in a televised interview, Raisi described the operation as "a very clear manifestation of revolutionary rationality" and "a beautiful manifestation of the cooperation of the field, diplomacy and media." He asserted that the strike proved Iran's strength, allowing it to "remove the shadow of war from the country and remove the military option from the table."

The President's remarks come in the wake of the Zionist regime's attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, which he said was a "manifestation of despair" for the regime's supporters. Raisi stated that the Supreme Leader's promise of punishment for this transgression was fulfilled through the efforts of Iran's zealous fighters."

Raisi framed the operation against the backdrop of the Zionist regime's "genocide, infanticide and crimes against humanity in Gaza," which he described as a "black and dark manifestation of the peak of brutality, crime, cruelty, genocide and infanticide." He asserted that despite the regime's continued aggression, the "resistant Palestinians of Gaza" emerged as the victors, while the Zionist regime and its supporters faced "shame and humiliation."

The President's comments suggest a shift in Iran's strategic approach, emphasizing the use of military force to deter aggression and assert the country's regional influence. Raisi rejected the notion of "begging diplomacy," instead championing what he termed "revolutionary rationality" as the superior discourse.

Highlighting Iran's recent achievements, including its membership in BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as well as its successful COVID-19 vaccine rollout, Raisi portrayed the country as a powerful and self-reliant regional player. He suggested that the "spillover effects" of Iran's military assertiveness could extend to economic prosperity and the resolution of other domestic challenges.

However, Raisi also acknowledged the importance of diplomacy, stating that Iran has "never left the negotiation table" and is willing to engage in talks to express its "logical and fully defensible opinion." He criticized the United States and European powers for repeatedly breaking their promises, suggesting that negotiations alone may not be sufficient to address the country's concerns.

The President's remarks underscore Iran's evolving strategic calculus, where military might and diplomatic engagement are seen as complementary tools in the pursuit of regional influence and security. This shift could have far-reaching implications for the geopolitical dynamics in West Asia, as Iran seeks to assert its position as a dominant regional power.
