Isfahan (IP) - The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) called talks with the IAEA secretary-general good and constructive even though ill-wishers are dissatisfied with Tehran-IAEA ties and cooperation.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at his joint presser with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Gross, Mohammad Eslami the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) while appreciating Grossi's role said: "Today we had good and constructive talks. We published a joint statement in Tehran last March, although Iran's ill-wishers are dissatisfied with the relationship between Iran and the IAEA and try to blacken these actions which is the point we stressed in this round of negotiations."

 Eslami further said: "In these negotiations, we evaluated the progress of the March statement as a positive baseline, although the movement was slow due to the conditions of interaction between the IAEA and Iran, today the hope has been raised to increase the interactions with a complementary approach."

 Iran's top official elsewhere stressed: "We continue our cooperation with the IAEA in three parts. The first part is the past issues within the framework of JCPOA, which has its literature and requirements and should not be included in other parts.

"In the first part of the important topic, two places remain. Two of the four locations are closed and the remaining two continue to operate within the framework of cooperation.

In the second part, within the framework of safeguards agreements and NPT, there are expectations and shortcomings for which we will take specific measures.

The third part is the future steps and mutual expectations which in this phase the role of the director general of the IAEA to remove the obstacles to resolve the political obstacles and Grossi's presence is highlighted.

The Director General of the IAEA stressed that operationalizing the march joint statement between Tehran and the IAEA is on the agenda because we believe that this goal can address issues between Iran and the IAEA.

Speaking at his joint presser as the Director  General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), with Mohammad Eslami the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Rafael  Grossi said: As I said, our goal is not to produce a new document, our goal is to operationalize the march joint statement because we believe that this goal can solve issues between Iran and IAEA."

Regarding Iran's concerns about Israel's role in the relationship between Iran and the IAEA, Grossi said: "We do not pay attention to foreign actors and our goal is to reach regional security and peace. We are aware of everything, but will take steps in the right direction."

 Answering questions about the withdrawal of the United States and EU trio from the JCPOA and the expectation of Iran's compliance in such a situation, Grossi said: "This is something we are working on, while we are trying to solve previous problems, and we must try to get it back on track. Let's go back first or revive the JCPOA or reach another new document is what is being pursued by the IAEA." 219
