Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at the Seminar of Peace, Stability and Sustainable Security in Light of Defense Cooperation on Monday, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani said, US is unfaithful so negotiation with this administration is nonsense.
"Today they talk about negotiation. The Americans have asked me twice for negotiations during my recent visit to Afghanistan, but i said that Iran will not negotiate with them," Shamkhani added according to Iran Press.
Shamkhani said that the Americans used the fourth wave of sanctions against Iran because of various failures, but they also tried to test this strategy in the past and of course, failed.
Washington’s withdrawal from the multilateral nuclear deal signed in 2015, pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement, entering into economic war with China and Europe and the recent withdrawal from UNESCO show the true face of the US government in breaking international agreements, Shamkhani said.
“The United States failed in its strategy in Syria and faces a contradiction in the East Euphrates region, and this situation dictates nothing but the departure of the US,” he stressed.
“Today, the Americans are talking about leaving Afghanistan,” Shamkhani said, adding that they have not fulfilled any of their obligations to ensure security in Afghanistan.
Pointing to Iran’s recent negotiations with Taliban on the Afghan-Afghan peace issues, Shamkhani dismissed any possibility of holding talks with ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists. “Talks with Taliban will certainly never lead to talks with ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra,” he stressed.
