Tehran (IP) - Iran's deputy health minister said that the country's health, medical equipment, and sources were targeted but it comes to nothing.

Iran Press/Iran news: Talking in the inauguration of organization's meeting to evaluate the measures of children nutrition and health held in Tehran on Sunday, Iraj Harirchi said to Iran Press that we asked international organizations, like The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations (UN) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to raise their voices to protest against the US aggressive policies targeting Iran particularly the country's health sector.

"UNICEF has had significant cooperation with Iran, particularly during the recent devastating flood which hit many Iranian provinces," he added continuing: "We hope our cooperation increase in this regard."

He also went on to say that at the time that the US has withdrawn from the  Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and imposed aggressive, inhumane sanctions against Iran and other nations, many countries opposed this policy and believe we should stand up to America.

The gathering, with health ministry officials and foreign guests from 20 countries in attendance, has been held to transfer the Islamic Republic of Iran's health care system's experiences to regional countries. 208/104
