Hormozgan (IP) - On the third day of the Zolfaghar 1401 military exercise of Iran's Army, the domestic torpedo 'Miaad' was fired for the first time from the Taregh submarine.

Iran PressIran news: The military drill began on Thursday night, December 29, 2022, with 'Ya Zahra' as the codename, in the Jask region and east of the Hormuz Strait, southern Iran, up to the 10°N orbit in the northern Indian Ocean.

Fateh and Ghadir submarines also fired Valfajr torpedoes and hit their targets in the Oman Sea and Northern Ocean.

As the operations were going on, an SH helicopter also hit the predetermined target in the sea with a Mark 46 torpedo. 

The torpedoes were designed and built by Iranian experts and differ from other torpedoes in that they are safe.

Valfajr torpedo enjoys anti-deception capability, high speed, and a warhead with high explosive power, all leading to surprising the targets, including large warships, and fully destroying them.
