Iranian foreign minister has criticized the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s recent remarks on JCPOA, comparing them to earlier remarks he made on 12 April.

Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted on Tuesday: “On April 12, Pompeo testified no need to worry about nixing JCPOA as Iran was not racing to a weapon before the deal, nor would turn to race to … weapons.”

Zarif then criticizes the US secretary of state’s recent remarks on his recent trip to the Middle East, saying “now he says it is time to revisit question of whether Iran can be trusted to enrich… any nuclear material.”

Drawing attention to the paradoxical and somewhat contradictory remarks made only days apart, Iran’s foreign minister asks Secretary of State, Pompeo, to make it clear “so, which one is it?”
