Iran Press/ West Asia: The Spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Force, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced in a late Sunday statement.
He said the new operations were carried out in response to Israel’s crimes against Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and also in retaliation for acts of aggression against Yemen by the United States and the UK.
Yemen has been targeting Israeli-linked cargo ships in the Red Sea in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which has been under an Israeli onslaught since Oct. 7 last year.
The Red Sea is one of the world's most frequently used sea routes for oil and fuel shipments.
