Iran Press/Asia: According to Pakistani Express news TV channel, Pakistan's government said in a statement on Sunday that the use of masks was mandatory for all people in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, and that those who violate the law would be jailed and they would be also sentenced to pay a fine.
The statement said all Pakistani citizens are required to wear masks in public places, including mosques, streets, public transport, administrative centers, and crowded places.
The decision came after Corona's spread in Pakistan increased to 70,000 in the country and 1,483 in the dead, with some government ministers even developed the disease.
Islamabad was forced to ease quarantine and allow citizens to start economic activities due to unemployment and poverty.
6.2 million cases of coronavirus have been confirmed around the world, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. Some 371,000 people have died, while more than 2.7 million have recovered.
