What he's saying:
In a meeting with Iraqi Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari in Tehran on Monday, President Pezeshkian said that Iran and Iraq must stand united against such a common enemy, support one another, and avoid division.
President Pezeshkian emphasized the destructive role of the Zionist regime in undermining peace and security across West Asia.
“The Zionist regime is a manifestation of hegemonic powers’ agenda to weaken, occupy, and plunder the resources of regional countries, and to divide the region,” he stated.
He called for unity among regional nations in the face of this “common enemy,” stressing that collective solidarity, mutual support, and rejection of division and disunity are essential.
Reaffirming Iran’s commitment to regional solidarity, Pezeshkian added, “We consider the government and people of Iraq, and all other Islamic nations, as our brothers. We will continue our efforts to strengthen unity, cohesion, and brotherhood within the Islamic Ummah.”
