Iran Press/ West Asia: The sound of several explosions was heard and sirens sounded at the US embassy in Baghdad, according to the reports.
No groups or individuals have claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
In reaction to US support for the Israeli regime in the Gaza war, the Iraqi Resistance groups have repeatedly targeted the positions of American forces in recent weeks.
Some news sources say that some 12 rockets have been fired toward the US embassy in Baghdad.
